ATP Membership Form

WHY BECOME A MEMBER?
  • As ATPS is the Scottish branch of the ATP (UK), when you join you become a member of the ATP (UK), and therefore automatically a member of ATPS.

  • Members of the ATPS enjoy various benefits, including a regular Newsletter and attendance at events such as the Annual Conference, which provides excellent and affordable CPD; useful information and resources are available in the Members’ Area of the website.

  • As a member of ATP (UK) (see http://www.theatp.org/), you also receive all the benefits of the ‘parent’ association, including a regular UK Newsletter, a resources journal, and access to the ATP conference held in England or Wales each July (attended by around 250-350 teachers/lecturers).

  • ATPS has developed relationships with key educational bodies at national level, such as SQA and SFEU, and has contributed to development of the psychology curriculum.

ATP/ATPS membership thus offers a range of opportunities for professional development and informal peer support, as well as involvement in the process of promoting the teaching of our subject in schools and colleges.

Membership costs only £25 per year. You can join at any time, and are asked to pay your first subscription by means of a cheque. Thereafter, you may wish to set up a standing order. An application form can be downloaded from this website- see link above - or can be obtained by contacting the Treasurer (address below), or any committee member.
